US Cellular plans special dividend of $22.50-$23.75 per share
US Cellular (NYSE:USM) announced plans for a special cash dividend of $22.50 to $23.75 per share, contingent on the closing of its wireless operations sale to T-Mobile US, Inc. U.S. Cellular and its parent Telephone and Data Systems Inc. announced a $4.4 billion deal to sell its wireless operations and some spectrum assets to T-Mobile U.S. Inc. The agreement, which includes about $2 billion in debt, is expected to close in mid-2025. As part of the deal, T-Mobile will also enter into new licensing agreements for numerous U.S. Cellular towers and extend existing leases.
